Catia Conenna, Certasun’s newest solar consultant, helps homeowners in Arlington Heights and the surrounding northwest suburbs figure out how much they can save by going solar. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (847) 242-1114.
Catia, what’s your role at Certasun?
I started out as a Solar Associate learning the ins and outs of residential solar and helping people get started with the solar process. I’m excited to now be a Solar Consultant, which means I get to meet with homeowners in person and help them understand how much they can save by going solar.
I’m focused on serving my hometown of Arlington Heights and the northwest suburbs of Chicago – including places like Inverness, Hawthorn Woods, Round Lake, Bensenville and more.
How did you get interested in solar?
I was looking for opportunities that would allow me to work directly with customers and provide them with a product or service that would be good for both them and our greater community. When I learned about solar I found it was the perfect fit for me because I get to help homeowners save money on their energy bills and be a part of shifting Illinois towards renewable energy and away from nuclear and coal.
Why did you choose to work with Certasun?
After reviewing and researching solar companies I found that Certasun offers the best products and has a quality and honest team. I really like our No Surprises Guarantee, and from my very first meeting with the Certasun team it was evident they are very passionate about what they do and that passion shines in their daily interactions with customers and employees.
What do you think is the best reason for Illinois homeowners to go solar?
In addition to the fact that the Illinois and federal solar incentives are so large right now, solar is a great way to go green, produce sustainable energy, and leave the world a better place for future generations. Being able save money by doing something so positive really makes it a win-win.
How long have you lived in Arlington Heights?
I’ve lived in Arlington heights for 16 years. I grew up in the Niles and Des Plaines areas, and have never lived outside of Illinois. My husband and I chose to settle in Arlington Heights to raise our children, be near our extended family, and have access to the great public schools.
What did you do before working in solar?
I was a juvenile court reporter before having children. I was able to be home with my children when they were young and then transitioned to working for a company that sold housewares and kitchen items to buyers of big box retailers. I discovered in that role that I really enjoy working with people and helping provide customers with access to high-quality products.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love astrology, cooking, and coffee. I really enjoy being a mom and can be found nowadays supporting my children at their various sporting events including softball and basketball. Now that they are getting old enough, I’m looking forward to traveling with them more and teaching them about the different regions in our country and the world.
